Naproxen: The Choice That Lasts Longer
Naproxen, which is sold over the counter under the brand name Aleve, works longer than ibuprofen, which makes it great for conditions that need pain relief all day or night. The National Centre for Biotechnology Information says that naproxen is the first drug that should be used to treat acute gouty arthritis, osteoarthritis, musculoskeletal pain, inflammation, and menstrual problems.

Medical journal research shows that diclofenac is more effective than ibuprofen. This makes it a better choice for conditions that need stronger anti-inflammatory effects.
